BENJAMIN MEADOWS-INGRAM is a New York Times-bestselling author, screenwriter, artist, television producer and content executive. He was the consulting producer on Netflix’s hip-hop docuseries, Rapture, and producer on two of the series’ eight episodes. He also produced the feature-length Apple Music documentary The WIZRD (2019), which followed chart-topping recording artist Future for nearly three years. He’s the former editor-in-chief of Mass Appeal, former music editor of Billboard, former director of original content at Myspace and former executive editor of VIBE. His first book, Diary of a Madman: The Geto Boys, Life, Death & the Roots of Southern Rap, with Brad “Scarface” Jordan (Dey Street/HarperCollins), was named one of the top 10 music books of 2015 by Rolling Stone. His second book, Adversity for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe, with Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins (HarperCollins Leadership, 2023), was a New York Times Bestseller and has sold over 100,000 copies to date. He is currently working on his next book as well as a new screenplay in addition to curating an upcoming exhibition for the Memphis Museum of Art scheduled to open in fall 2026.
